About Wordabulary

Wordabulary is a free vocabulary learning platform built to feel like a game, not a textbook. You practise words one at a time — definition, part of speech, and an example sentence, with pronunciation read aloud — then reinforce what you've learned with adaptive quizzes.

Practice and quiz mode are open to everyone, with no account and no signup wall. Creating a free account adds streaks, points, badges, and spaced repetition so your progress is saved and the words you find hardest come back around more often.

How it works

  • Practice words — see one word at a time with its definition and an example sentence, and hear it pronounced aloud.
  • Take quizzes — answer multiple-choice and fill-in-the-blank questions that adapt to how well you already know each word.
  • Track your progress — build streaks, earn points and badges, and watch your vocabulary grow.

Who it's for

Wordabulary is designed to be clear, readable, and accessible for teen and adult learners — including dyslexia-friendly fonts, adjustable text size, reduced-motion support, and full keyboard and screen-reader accessibility.

Who writes this

Wordabulary is built and written by the Wordabulary Team — the people behind the app, the word library, and the blog. We built this to help you learn vocabulary faster, and in a way that's actually fun rather than feeling like homework.
