Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of Wordabulary (wordabulary.com). By using the site, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the service.

The service

Wordabulary is a freemium vocabulary learning platform. A free account is required to use practice mode, quiz mode, and the placement assessment; individual word pages and the blog remain open to everyone without an account. A free account includes saved progress, streaks, points, badges, and personalized spaced repetition, with a daily cap on practice and quiz sessions. An optional paid Pro plan removes that daily cap.

Your account

• You're responsible for keeping your login credentials (or passkey) secure, and for all activity under your account.
• You must provide accurate information when registering and keep it up to date.
• You may delete your account at any time from Settings.
• We may suspend or terminate accounts that abuse the service, attempt to disrupt it, or violate these terms.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the service for any unlawful purpose, or to harass or harm others.
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other accounts or to our systems.
• Interfere with or disrupt the service (for example, through automated abuse of forms or scraping at a scale that degrades the service for others).
• Submit spam, malicious content, or content you don't have the right to share through the contact form or any other input on the site.

Content

Word definitions, example sentences, and other learning content on Wordabulary are provided for educational use. The Wordabulary name, logo, and site design are owned by us and may not be copied or reused without permission.

Paid plans & billing

Pro is available as a monthly subscription or as a one-time lifetime purchase; current pricing is shown on the pricing page and your account's Billing settings. Payments are processed by Paddle.com, which acts as the merchant of record and reseller for these purchases — your payment is made to Paddle, not directly to us, and Paddle's own buyer terms govern the transaction itself, including invoicing, tax, and payment disputes.

• The monthly subscription renews automatically until you cancel. You can cancel any time from Billing settings; you keep Pro access until the end of the current billing period, and the subscription won't renew after that.
• The lifetime purchase is a single one-time payment that grants permanent Pro access to that account — there's no recurring charge or renewal to cancel.
• Refund requests are handled in accordance with Paddle's buyer terms. Contact us at our email address and we'll help, or work with Paddle directly to request a refund.
• We may change Pro pricing or plan features going forward; changes won't retroactively alter what you've already paid for.

No warranty

Wordabulary, including any paid Pro plan, is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind. We aim for accuracy and reliability but don't guarantee the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or perfectly accurate, and we aren't liable for any loss arising from your use of it, to the fullest extent permitted by law.

Changes

We may update the service or these terms over time. Continuing to use Wordabulary after a change means you accept the updated terms. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "last updated" date above.
