Quick answer
A response given to a question, or the solution to a problem.
An answer is what you say or write when someone asks you a question. It is also the solution to a problem, such as the answer to a math sum. You give an answer, wait for an answer and sometimes do not know the answer. The word can also mean a reaction to something, as in a loud answer from the crowd. As a verb, to answer means to reply, to pick up a phone or to open a door when someone knocks. The w in the word is silent.
