A laboratory technique used to find the exact concentration of a solution by carefully adding a solution of known concentration until a reaction is complete.

"During the titration, she added the acid drop by drop until the indicator finally changed colour."

The point where the reaction is exactly complete is called the equivalence point, often signalled by a colour change in an indicator.
